MEET JACKLYN
Jacklyn has a passion for guiding members of her community and their families through potentially difficult life circumstances. She has an extensive background in guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, probate, estate planning and trust administration. Jacklyn assists clients with planning for taxable estates, negotiating settlement agreements for families experiencing extreme conflict and advising clients through every step in the process of complicated legal matters.
EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND
Before achieving her goal of becoming an attorney, Jacklyn worked as a legal assistant for 10 years where she gained experience in a variety of family and elder law matters, including guardianships and conservatorships, estate planning and probate administration.
During law school, Jacklyn worked in the Wills & Trusts Clinic, clerked at the Department of Justice, Trial Division and conducted significantly large research projects, including interpretation of the Uniform Trust Code and research on federal and state legislations protecting rights of LGBTQIA+ older adults.
Jacklyn was previously a National Certified Guardian and worked with a team of professional fiduciaries to administer trusts, estates, and conservatorships. She is currently a member of OGALLA and the Deschutes County Bar Association.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
Jacklyn has lived her entire adult life in the Pacific Northwest and found her home in Central Oregon almost three years ago. Jacklyn views life as the next big adventure and loves living in Central Oregon for this reason. She enjoys outdoor adventures with her dogs (Molly & Stevie Jean), camping, hiking, paddle-boarding, road trips, traveling with her partner and most importantly good times filled with lots of laughter spent with her family and friends.
